This summer I am hosting a series of community outreach events, and I wanted to personally make you aware of and invite you to a FREE document shredding event and food collection drive that will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 9:00 AM until noon in Woodstock. I will be partnering with State Representative Steve Reick for this event.
Document Shredding & Food Collection Event
Saturday, August 27, 2022
9:00 AM until noon (document shredding is available until the truck is at capacity)
1072 Lake Avenue (Parking lot of Rep. Steve Reick’s legislative office)
Woodstock, IL
At this event, Rep. Reick and I invite our constituents to bring up to two banker-box-sized boxes or bags of documents that will be shredded. We also encourage visitors to bring non-perishable food items that will be distributed to local pantries.
Please note that documents will NOT be shredded on-site but will be collected and placed in sealed bins and taken to AMS Store & Shred in Lake in the Hills for safe shredding and disposal. An official certificate of destruction will be provided to each vehicle upon collection.
I think we all have old bank statements, receipts, and bill statements that need to be disposed of safely and in a manner that prevents documents falling into the wrong hands. I hope you’ll participate in the free shred event and bring a few items that can help our local food pantries remain well-stocked for local families-in-need.
Best,
Craig Wilcox
