Woodstock High School is proud to host the Business INCubator Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Pitch event on Thursday, February 20th at 6:00 P.M. in the Woodstock High School library. This event is open to the public and we highly encourage anyone who supports local small businesses to attend the pitch. The event is a key milestone for student teams to present their startup business idea and request investor dollars to fund the further development of their business model. The MVP pitch and execution that follows are key validation steps that students use to determine if they have a business concept that is viable.
A Board of Advisors composed of local business leaders will be present to provide strategic evaluation and direction to teams on how to evolve their business. Throughout the remaining school year, students will test their MVP, adjust, refine and possibly alter their business concept. The culmination of the program occurs at Final Pitch Night this spring when students present their final business concepts to the Board of Advisors for potential investment to file as a legal business entity moving forward.
INCubator is a leading provider of entrepreneurship education for high schools. This experiential learning curriculum tasks students with identifying a problem that they witness every day and then develop a product or service that solves the identified problem through the creation of a business. Using a blend of LEAN methodology and foundational business topics, along with the support of over 25 industry experts from within the community, students are exposed to all aspects of creating an entrepreneurial business.
